Autumn Wintour Special!

The highly anticipated (in fashoon circles of course) documentary ‘The September Issue’ is coming real soon, whether the thoughts make you balk and barf or levitate with glee ya must admit you’re a tad curious! Showing us the nine month period leading up to the printing of Vogue’s famous September issue, we’re to expect appearances – both comedic and dramatic -from Karl Lagerfeld, Stefano Pilati, Isabel Toledo, Bee Shaffer, Linda Fargo, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Mario Testino, Coco Rocha, Raquel Zimmerman, Sienna Miller, Patrick Demarchelier, Si Newhouse (remember ‘How to lose friends & alienate people’?) to name but a helluva lot! But the real draw for most is getting an eyeful of leading lady Anna ‘ice wouldn’t melt’ Wintour in all her hellish, staff vaporizing glory. Is she really the divil in drag??

Directed by RJ Cutler and focusing on Vogue’s editor-in-chief Mz Wintour, who has spend most of her 20 years at Vogue away from the spotlight for fear of puddling, instead choosing to sculpt her bob behind closed shades – both window-type and Chanels. In saying that, the beshaded one recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote the film so maybe a warmer public persona is emerging, hmm…

In the docu, we are told that creative director of Vogue Grace Coddington brings the human element to the film and she should get much public support as we’re shown her bountiful work on shoots get dismissed and canceled by the icy one in a heartbeat. Ah Grace, if only a bit of it rubbed off. We can look forward to a plethora of filthy, bitchy looks and sarky comments galore, not to mention an opening monologue from Wintour! Hey it’s a must-see, must-buy (the actual September issue) and must post-bitch bit of entertainment!

The September Issue opens on August 28th in New York and September 11th everywhere else for us unlucky non-New Yawkers.
