One of the hottest movies of this year – Revolutionary Road – will be gracing the shelves of all good dvd stores very soon we are told! It may be the long awaited reunion movie for these two megastars, between their love scenes and fight scenes serious sparks fly!

This emotional ’50s drama is based on characters Frank and April Wheeler, a young couple trying to find fulfillment in an era of conformity. But what we’re really anticipating is the display of top notch 50s vintage attire on the beautiful award winning Kate Winslet.

We have a fab 50s day dress below which wouldn’t have looked out of place on set – what do you think!

For anyone who missed this fabulous vintage fair in February -or indeed for those who were there and know how amazing it is -well we’re delighted to tell you it will be back on Sunday 10th May in the Holiday Inn, Ormeau Road, Belfast.

Perk up! Vintage & Revamp will be there with bells on, selling amazing ladies clothing from the 50s to the 80s with some special surprises thrown in!

But don’t just take our word for it, read on for a review given by Sugahfix.com from the February fair:

By Katrina Doran

”The Frock Around The Clock Vintage Fair at the Wellington Park Hotel on the 15th February was a veritable feast for the eyes as well as amazing shopping experience.

Our magpie tendencies were overwhelmed with the dazzling array of sparkly things drawing out attention from table to table.

Beads, broaches, cuffs and bangles all vied for our attention and we mused and swooned at the covetable antique rings and fob watches.

The fashion was utterly fabulous with almost too much choice for any vintage lover. A classic Dior jacket caught our eye and feathered hair bands and veiled head pieces were tried on and had us giggling like schoolgirls who’ve just spotted their rock n roll dreamboat. Vintage treasures were found and bought from first edition comics to miniature sewing machines to crockery and funky telephones.

Modern design twists with reclaimed chairs decorated chairs with old issues of the Beano to crafty corsages and headbands and simply beautiful paper dresses created from vintage paper patterns added a funky design edge to the items on show.

We came, we saw, we bought more than we intended – it was fabulous! ”
