
Vintage Weekend Extravaganza here we come! Yep it’s all happening in Dun Laoghaire this Sunday –for anyone who hasn’t seen previous posts or heard the goss check out http://www.VintageIreland.eu. And for those who like a touch of schwing with their shopping, the Dublindy Vintage Ball is back with a bang that very night!
From the lips of Dublindy: There will be pre-ball drinks in the Pavilion Bar from 8.30pm. Soak up the atmosphere, mark your dance card and be entertained by cute diversions. The Ball commences at 9.30pm with The Swingin Blue Cats setting the atmosphere with some high class jazz and swing tunes. The evening will be a whirlwind of fun, including wonderful cabaret. Carriages are at 1.30am.
Allow the infectious energy and oscillating rhythms of the Jazz Age to raise your spirits. Described as “constantly surprising”, immerse yourself in the exhilarating and electric atmosphere. There is fabulous entertainment lined up throughout the evening such as:
- Live band “The Swinging Blue Cats” enticing you onto the floor with a range of classic jazz, swing and lounge numbers.
- Bella a Go Go enchanting you with her exquisite Burlesque.
- The Vaudeville Vamps entertaining you with their high energy Charleston and jazz.
- The Top n Tail Harlequins mesmerising you with their wonderful wings.
- Saucy and humourous performance poetry.
- Synchronised swimming like you’ve never seen it before!
- Dancing to the great swing and retro sounds of the 1920’s – 50’s.
- Dress to impress and prove that it still don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing!
- Best dressed competition.
