Good news for all fashionistas Stateside – a highly anticipated collaberation has been born…Alexa Chung’s collection designed for clothing label Madewell was unleashed on Monday at New York Fashion Week – and so far thumbs are firmly up for the British beauty.

Just like the former models recognisable statement look the collection features a selection of hip shorts, vintage-style blouses, boho mini dresses, with focus on stripes, velvet and plaid. The catwalk models were given the Chung-treatment all the way with very natural make-up, bed-head locks and accessorised simply even down to the boyfriend brogues Alexa favours.

Speaking about her debut Alexa said: “Madewell’s vision is kind of the same as mine. They like laid-back styles, they like kind of relaxed clothes – classic, timeless things. So when they asked to collaborate, it was a perfect fit.”   The collection is available in the U.S from September in Madewell stockists, we’re keeping our ear to the ground for a hopeful Atlantic crossing…Here are a few Chung-tastic looks behind the inspiration:

Twiglet twins, Ashley and Mary-kate are instantly recognizable for their quirky pash for fash and are now adding to their previous lines with a new collection of denim pieces.

Believe it or not this will be their fourth designing endeavour! They’ve given us The Row – a sophisticated adult-orientated line of beautifully tailored jackets, dark tones and sexy tube dresses. Elizabeth and James followed with a younger clientele in mind full of fun and affordable separates such as slouchy knits, bejewelled skirts and cute floral dresses. Third in line was Olsenboye for all those funky tom-boy teens who like their threads cool, fun and practical.

So now the duos denim dream has been realized – said to be unlike your average bootcut collection it’s a luxury end denim taking inspiration from boho styles but guaranteed to flatter those curves! The collection is called ‘Textile’ and apparently started as an idea when the gals were rifling through their old wardrobes for a clean pair of jeans…Bless, they had been awol for three weeks before being discovered in denim Narnia… Upon discovering their very own teenage vintage jeans, ahem circa 2000? They took to a tad of recycling and voila! Another golden Olsen moment, well if they make us look half as lean as the pin-legged pair bring em on…
